Emergency Contraception

Emergency contraception can help prevent a pregnancy after vaginal sex without a condom or when the condom has fallen off or broken.

There are 2 types of ‘the morning after pill’. Which is best and how effective it is depends on how long it has been since the sex, any other hormonal contraception you are using and when your last period was.

The Copper IUD or ‘coil’ is 99% effective at preventing a pregnancy. Using it also depends on how long it has been since the sex, any other hormonal contraception you are using and when your last period was.

Please read all the information here: Let’s talk about sex! | Sexwise to help you decide what is best for you.
